huge mulberries! i made a pie filling with 3c mulberries, 1/3c flour, 1/3c sugar, a sprinkling of nutmeg and ginger and cinnamon and coriander, and a bit of citrus juice -- i used kumquat, lemon would be fine. it was one of the nicest pies i ever made.
wow i have had mulberry syrup before, but never actually seen a mulberry. They look so pretty. Your phone takes really good quality pictures for being just a phone.
Nice pic ... they sure are ripe ...best part of these fruits despite being fully ripe ...they have a tangy bitter-sweet taste ... which goes well with anything with almost anything ... i wonder it'd make a nice garnishing ingredient for a plate of fruit salad ...
Oh my...it's been years since I thought of mulberries. Growing up, my neighbour and I had mulberry trees. When I was little I practised my...graffiti... by drawing on our white brick with the ripened berries...it washed off in the rain :)
We never did anything with them...apart from eating them with a bit of sugar...the birds got most of them.
